How it works

What happens to an order between your store and your customer

Pick and pack is the part of fulfilment where an order becomes a parcel. Here is every step, so you know exactly what you are paying for.

1

The order lands

Orders flow in automatically from Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Etsy, TikTok Shop and the other channels we connect. Nobody retypes anything, so nothing gets mistyped.

2

We pick it

Your stock is booked into a pick bin, a box location or a pallet space when it arrives, and the picker takes the exact items and quantities on the order from there.

3

We pack it

Into a mailer or box sized to the product, with your inserts, your branded packaging or gift wrap if you use them, and protection for anything fragile.

4

It leaves the same day

Labelled on Royal Mail, Evri or DPD, handed to the carrier and tracked to your customer. Orders in before the 2pm cut-off on a working day go out that day.

The numbers

How accurately, and how fast

We commit to 99.5% dispatch accuracy or better and send every client a monthly scorecard against it. What we actually achieve is higher.

Our clients pick and pack anything from a few dozen orders a day to several hundred. The same team, the same cut-off and the same rate card apply at every size, and you do not have to reach a minimum volume before we will take you on.

Price

Pick and pack prices, published in full

The price falls as your volume rises, on the same public card. These are the figures you will see on your quote, ex VAT and before postage.

Per orderUnder 1,000 orders a month1,000 to 3,0003,000+
First item in the order£1.10 (from 85p for single-SKU simple products)£0.95£0.85
Each additional item25p22p20p
Standard mailer or boxAt cost plus 15p handling, itemised on your quote

So a two-item order at under 1,000 orders a month is £1.10 plus 25p, which is £1.35, plus the packaging it goes in. Optional extras are priced the same way: branded packaging from 15p, inserts and flyers at 5p each, fragile or gift wrapping from 30p and kitting and bundling from 50p a kit. Storage, goods-in, returns and postage are all on the full rate card, with a calculator that works out a month for you.

Packed your way

Your packaging, your inserts, your unboxing

Standard or branded

By default your products go into a plain mailer or box sized to fit, so you are not paying to post air. Send us your own branded boxes or mailers and we will pack into those instead.

Inserts, samples and notes

Thank-you cards, discount flyers and samples go into the orders you choose. It is the easiest repeat-purchase lever a small brand has, and it costs 5p an insert.

Fragile and gift orders

Glass, ceramics and anything that rattles get the protection they need. Gift orders can be wrapped from 30p.

What we are best suited to

Small, light, non-perishable products, typically parcels under 2kg: cosmetics, supplements, accessories, prints, games, crafts, pet products. If yours are heavy, hazardous, chilled or oversized we will say so upfront.

Why sellers move to us

What usually goes wrong with pick and pack providers

Most sellers who move their pick and pack to us are leaving another provider, and the reasons are nearly always the same three.

The price moved

A quoted rate, then extra lines on the invoice. Our rate card is public and your price is locked in when you sign. The charges that usually hide in a 3PL contract are written up so you can check anyone, us included.

Nobody answered

You deal directly with the people packing your orders, with a reply within 2 hours in business hours, and your client portal keeps every invoice, delivery and conversation in one place.

Returns piled up

Every return is inspected, graded and restocked or set aside within 3 working days at £2 a unit. Returns processing is published in full.

Getting started

Packing your orders within days, not weeks

We start onboarding the day you say yes. We connect your sales channels for a one-off £150 that covers every channel, you send your stock, and once it arrives you are ready to take orders within 3 days. New clients get 30 days’ free storage after goods-in, and terms are rolling monthly with 30 days’ notice and no exit fee.

If you are switching from another provider, the onboarding plan sets out every step, and the fulfilment service page covers storage, dispatch and returns alongside pick and pack.

Questions sellers ask

Pick and pack, answered straight

What is pick and pack?

Pick and pack is the part of fulfilment where an order becomes a parcel: the items on the order are picked from where your stock is stored, packed into the right mailer or box with any inserts, labelled and handed to the carrier. We do it for e-commerce sellers so they do not have to pack orders themselves.

How much does pick and pack cost?

On our published rate card the first item in an order is £1.10 under 1,000 orders a month, £0.95 from 1,000 to 3,000 and 85p above 3,000, and single-SKU simple products start at 85p from the outset. Each additional item is 25p, 22p or 20p on the same tiers, and packaging is charged at cost plus 15p handling. Postage is separate, at our negotiated carrier rates.

What is your same-day cut-off?

2pm on a working day. Orders that reach us before then, paid and free of holds, are picked, packed and dispatched that day. On average 99.8% of orders in before the cut-off leave the same day.

How accurate is your picking?

Our published commitment is 99.5% dispatch accuracy or better, reported to every client in a monthly scorecard. Our actual pick accuracy averages 99.8%.

Is there a minimum order volume?

No. There is no minimum order volume and no minimum monthly spend. Our clients range from a few dozen orders a day to several hundred, on the same rate card.

Can you use my own packaging and carrier accounts?

Yes to both. Send us your branded boxes or mailers and we pack into them. If you would rather keep your own carrier accounts, we generate labels on yours for a flat 40p per parcel instead of shipping on our negotiated rates.

How quickly can you start?

We start onboarding the day you say yes. Once your stock arrives you are ready to take orders within 3 days. Connecting your sales channels is a one-off £150 that covers every channel.
