Client story
From packing at home to 500 orders a month: Hassan’s story
A Rochdale seller of clothing and homeware, three sales channels, and orders that kept getting mixed up at home. What changed when the stock moved into a warehouse.

Hassan sells clothing and homeware online from Rochdale, through Amazon, eBay and his own Shopify store. The business turns over around £100,000 a year, and today more than 500 of his orders a month leave our warehouse. Until he came to us, every one of them was packed at home.
“The orders get to the customers almost immediately.” Asked whether anything had gone wrong: “We have no complaints.”
The problem: three channels, one house
Selling the same stock on three channels from a spare room works until it doesn’t. Orders from Amazon, eBay and Shopify all needed picking from the same shelves, and as volume grew they started getting mixed up: the right products going to the wrong customers, or the wrong product into the right parcel.
On your own site, a mixed-up order costs a refund, a re-send and an apology. On Amazon and eBay it costs that and more, because both marketplaces count it against your seller performance, and a run of them can limit what you are allowed to sell. That is the point at which packing at home stops being a saving and becomes a risk to the business. Why it happens, and what it costs on each marketplace, is set out in who owns the stock count when a 3PL holds your stock.
What changed
- One pool of stock behind all three channels. His stock moved to our warehouse in Rochdale, and orders from Amazon, eBay and Shopify now arrive automatically, with tracking written back to each channel.
- Picking checked by scanning. Every item is scanned against the order as it is picked, which is what stops the wrong product going in the parcel. Our measured picking accuracy across clients is 99.8%.
- Same-day dispatch. Orders that reach us before 2pm on a weekday, or 1pm on a Saturday, leave the same day.
- Returns handled. Returns come back to us, are graded and go back on sale or are set aside, instead of piling up at home.
In his own words
We asked Hassan on camera, six months in, what had changed. On the service: “They have a brilliant system in place. The orders get to the customers almost immediately.” On whether anything had gone wrong: “We have no complaints.” And on cost: “The charge is around 95p per box.”

What it costs, honestly
The 95p is Hassan’s own figure for his own orders. We do not turn it into a promise, because what an order costs depends on how many you send, how many items are in each and what they are packed in. Our full rate card is published, and the first item in an order starts from 85p for single-SKU simple products. A quote for your own products comes back itemised in one working day.
What comes next
Hassan is planning to grow the business again next year. Because the stock, the picking and the dispatch already sit with us, that is a question of sending more stock, not of finding more room at home.
If you are where he was, packing at home across several channels, the next step is usually to read who handles UK fulfilment at 100 orders a month, or simply to ask us for a quote.
Hassan agreed to be named and to appear on camera. The quotes are from his interview on Angler Fulfilment’s Instagram; the business details were supplied by Angler with his agreement. Our accuracy and cut-off figures are the ones published on our fulfilment page.
