Why sell internationally from one UK warehouse
Most small sellers lose international orders one of two ways. They switch off overseas checkout because shipping feels too complicated, or they pay retail counter prices that wipe out the margin.
Holding stock in multiple countries only starts to pay at serious volume, because you are then funding duplicate inventory, duplicate storage and duplicate admin before you have the order density to justify any of it. Until you reach that point, one UK warehouse shipping worldwide is almost always cheaper, simpler and easier to control, and your customer still gets a tracked delivery. When your volume genuinely does justify splitting stock, we will say so rather than keep the work.

Where we ship, and how
Europe
Tracked services across the EU and EEA. For consignments under €150 we can ship under an IOSS registration so VAT is collected at checkout rather than demanded on the doorstep. If you sell on Amazon, eBay or Etsy, those orders already travel under the marketplace's own IOSS number, and we use that. Delivered Duty Paid is available on selected carriers and routes, quoted per market rather than offered blanket, so your customer is not met with a handling fee at the door on the lanes where we can support it.
United States and Canada
Tracked and express services. Customs values and commodity codes are applied per SKU from the data you supply at onboarding, so declarations are consistent rather than improvised parcel by parcel.
Rest of world
Australia, the Middle East and most of Asia by tracked airmail or express courier. International postage is quoted per destination zone on your written quote. It is not on the public rate card, because carrier zone pricing changes more often than the card does and we would rather quote you a live number than publish a stale one.

What is included, and who is responsible for what
This is the part most 3PL pages leave vague, so here it is plainly. We prepare the documentation. You remain responsible for the data it is built from.
What we do
We generate the commercial invoice and the customs declaration on every international order, and apply CN22 or CN23 labelling where the destination requires it. We store your commodity codes and customs values against each SKU so every parcel of that product declares the same thing. Tracking is pushed back to your store so your customer is updated automatically. Everything lands on one itemised invoice in pounds sterling covering pick, pack and postage, with no dollar billing and no card surcharges.
What stays with you
You supply the commodity codes, customs values and product descriptions, and you are responsible for their accuracy. That is not us offloading the awkward part: it is your product, your classification and your liability if a code is wrong, and it is written into clause 18.4 of our terms. We do not act as your importer of record and we are not your VAT agent. Your own VAT registrations, import duties and product compliance remain yours.
Duties and surcharges
On routes where Delivered Duty Paid is available, duties and import VAT are settled up front and recharged to you at cost with the handling fee stated on your quote. Everywhere else, shipments travel duty unpaid and the recipient settles on delivery. Carrier surcharges, including fuel, are passed through at cost as the carrier applies them, itemised on your invoice. We will not pretend those do not exist. What we will do is show you each one on the bill rather than folding it into a round number.
Postage
International postage at our rates, not retail
We ship on our negotiated Royal Mail, DPD and Evri international accounts. For most small sellers those rates beat booking each parcel yourself at retail, and you get one invoice instead of three courier accounts to reconcile at month end. Where a self-booked rate would genuinely be cheaper for your product and destination, we will tell you, exactly as we do on UK postage. If you would rather keep your own international carrier accounts, we will generate labels on yours at the same flat 40p per parcel we charge domestically.
Speed
Same-day dispatch, wherever it is going
International orders received, paid and free of holds before our 5pm cut-off on a working day are picked, packed and handed to the carrier that day, exactly like UK orders. There is no separate international cut-off and no quiet extra day while paperwork is prepared. Stock is booked in within 48 hours of arriving at the warehouse, so you can switch overseas checkout back on quickly rather than waiting on us.

Do you handle customs paperwork for me?
We prepare it. On every international order we generate the commercial invoice and customs declaration, using the commodity codes and customs values set up with you during onboarding. You supply that data and remain responsible for its accuracy, and we do not act as your importer of record or VAT agent. That split is in clause 18.4 of our terms rather than buried in an FAQ.
Can my EU customers avoid surprise charges on delivery?
On the routes where we can offer Delivered Duty Paid, yes: duties and import VAT are settled up front and recharged to you at cost. DDP is not available on every carrier or every market, so it is quoted per route rather than promised across the board. Separately, for consignments under €150 we can ship under an IOSS registration so VAT is collected at your checkout instead of on the doorstep.
Do I need stock in the EU or US?
No. You hold one pool of stock in our Rochdale warehouse and we ship worldwide from it. Splitting inventory across countries only pays off once your order density in a region justifies funding duplicate stock and duplicate storage. We will tell you honestly when you reach that point, including if the answer is that you have outgrown shipping from one base.
What does international fulfilment cost?
Pick and pack is charged on the same tiered rate card as domestic: £1.10 for the first item under 1,000 orders a month, falling to £0.95 and then 85p as you grow, plus 25p, 22p or 20p per additional item on those tiers. International postage is quoted per destination zone on your written quote. One itemised invoice, in pounds sterling.
Which countries can you ship to?
The EU and EEA, the United States, Canada, Australia, the Middle East and most of Asia, by tracked or express service. Some destinations are not viable for particular products because of size, value or restriction rules, and where that is the case we will tell you before you commit stock rather than after.
