UK Amazon FBA prep centre · FNSKU labellingAmazon FBA prep, done right so defect fees never hit you
Inspection, FNSKU labelling, polybagging, bundling and carton forwarding from our Rochdale warehouse, from 55p per unit. We prep your inventory to Amazon's current spec so shipments are not rejected, relabelled or charged unplanned prep at the fulfilment centre.
Why prep matters now
Amazon stopped prepping for you in July 2026
Amazon's own wording: “Starting from July 1, 2026, we'll no longer offer prep and label services for Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) shipments in our European stores.” That is the UK date. The equivalent change hit US sellers in January 2026, and plenty of advice written for that market still quotes the January date, so it is worth being precise about which one applies to you.
It applies to everything going into a UK fulfilment centre: direct FBA, Amazon Warehousing & Distribution, SEND, Global Logistics and the Supply Chain Portal. Stock that arrives unprepped is no longer quietly fixed for a small fee. It gets rejected, stranded, or returned for rework, and stranded inventory earns nothing while it sits. Prep stopped being a convenience in July and became a condition of using FBA at all.
Inspect
Every unit checked against your listing on arrival: right product, right condition, right quantity. Discrepancies photographed and reported the same day.
Prep & label
FNSKU labelling, polybagging with suffocation warnings, bubble wrap, bundling and expiry labelling, all to current Amazon spec.
Forward
Cartons built to Amazon's requirements, shipment plans created in your Seller Central, and stock forwarded to Amazon within 48 hours of arrival.
The full list
Every prep service, itemised
Nothing here is bundled into a vague “prep” line. You pay for what each SKU actually needs.
Inspection and counting
Every carton opened, checked against your ASINs and counted in. Damaged or short stock is flagged and photographed before it travels anywhere, which is the difference between a supplier conversation and an Amazon problem.
FNSKU labelling
The correct FNSKU applied to each unit, covering any existing manufacturer barcode as Amazon requires, so units scan to your listing and not somebody else's.
Polybagging
Poly-bagged to spec, with the suffocation warning printed on bags at or above the size Amazon sets the threshold at. This is one of the most common reasons a shipment gets flagged.
Bundling and kitting
Multi-packs and bundles assembled and labelled as a single sellable unit, so what arrives at the fulfilment centre matches what your listing sells.
Bubble wrap and fragile prep
Protective wrap for fragile or breakable items, applied so they survive being handled several more times inside Amazon's network than they would on a direct order.
Expiry and date labelling
Date labelling and stock rotation for products Amazon treats as expirable, supplements being the common case. Priced per SKU rather than per unit, because the work depends on how your dates are printed and where.
Carton forwarding to Amazon
Repacked into compliant shipping cartons, labelled with your Amazon shipment IDs, and dispatched to the fulfilment centre. Shipment plans are created in your Seller Central so the paperwork matches the pallet.

Prep + fulfilment together
One warehouse for FBA and everything else
Most of our prep clients also sell on Shopify, TikTok Shop or eBay. Keep FBA stock and direct-to-customer stock under one roof: we prep and forward what Amazon needs and fulfil the rest same-day, from one pool. One delivery in, one invoice out, one person to talk to. It also gives you a ready-made FBM backup for when FBA fees spike or stock strands, and when FBA removal orders come back we can inspect, grade and restock them rather than sending them to your house.

The sellers Amazon-only prep centres overlook
We are a UK FBA prep centre inside a working fulfilment warehouse, not a prep-only unit, so the volume that gets you turned away elsewhere is normal here. You do not need thousands of units to use us. First shipments and small, regular top-ups get the same 48-hour booking-in, the same named contact replying within 2 business hours, and the same rate card as a seller sending pallets. There is no minimum unit count and no monthly commitment, which matters most on the shipment where you are still deciding whether FBA works for your product at all.
Questions sellers ask about FBA prep
FBA prep, answered straight
Do you apply FNSKU labels?
Yes. We apply the correct FNSKU to each unit and cover any existing manufacturer barcode, exactly as Amazon requires, so units scan to your listing rather than to another seller's.
Can you polybag and bundle?
Yes. We poly-bag to spec with the suffocation warning where the bag size requires it, and assemble bundles or multi-packs as single sellable units so the unit matches what your listing sells.
Will you forward my stock to the Amazon fulfilment centre?
Yes. We repack into compliant cartons, create the shipment plan in your Seller Central, apply your Amazon shipment labels and dispatch to the fulfilment centre. Carton forwarding is charged at carrier cost plus £2.50 per carton handling.
What does FBA prep cost?
From 55p per unit for receive, inspect and FNSKU label, falling to 45p and then 40p as volume rises. Polybagging, bubble wrap and bundling are itemised separately on the rate card, and expiry labelling is quoted per SKU. One invoice, in pounds sterling, with no minimums.
Can you handle FBA prep and my direct-to-consumer orders together?
Yes. Both run from one stock pool in our warehouse, so you can sell direct on Shopify or TikTok Shop and send stock into FBA from the same inventory, with one contact and one invoice. It also means you have an FBM fallback ready if FBA stock strands.
How quickly is my stock ready to prep?
We book goods into stock within 48 hours of arrival, then prep and forward on your schedule. Book the delivery in with us before it travels, or it sits in goods-in instead of going to a shelf.
Did Amazon really stop offering prep in the UK?
Yes. Amazon's wording is that from 1 July 2026 it no longer offers prep and label services for FBA shipments in its European stores, which includes the UK. Guidance written for the US market often quotes January 2026 instead, because that is when the equivalent change happened there.
New for 2026
Not sure what the rules actually require?
We wrote the long version: what FNSKU labelling demands in 2026 now that Amazon has stopped doing prep in-house, what the UK market charges, and the mistakes that get shipments rejected.
